Professional Development for Teachers that incorporates the latest theories and is aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

This course provides established teachers (2 years+) with leading edge psychological tools and techniques to take their teaching to the next level whilst incorporating professional standards (1-5).
This professional development opportunity for teachers will give teachers the time and space to reflect on their practice and focus on developing key competencies aligned to the Professional Teaching Standards. We provide practical classroom strategies that empower the teacher to change the way they work in the classroom. Using the latest research from Neuroscience and psychology we challenge teachers to think differently and open their perception.

During the 1 day teacher professional development workshop you will learn a range of tools and techniques to take your teaching to a new level.

Teacher's Professional Development aligned to the Australian Professional Teaching Standards:


​By the end of the workshop teachers will:
  1. Be able to plan and implement a well-structured lesson which includes differentiated questions at specific times during the learning journey. (3.2.2)
  2. Know how to use activities and content that is differentiated for those students who are gifted and talented therefore the teacher is able to meet the needs of students across the full range of abilities and learning styles. (1.5.2)
  3. Learn a comprehensive range of assessment strategies to diagnose learning needs, comply with curriculum requirements and support colleagues to evaluate the effectiveness of their approaches to assessment. (5.1.3)
  4. Be able to organise content in a coherent and well sequenced way to promote understanding. (2.2.2)
  5. Teachers will be able to develop a learning environment that challenges the student and makes the students more accountable. These tools and techniques allow the teacher to set challenging and achievable goals for all students. (3.1.2)
  6. Know how to use effective verbal strategies to praise students and support students understanding, participation, engagement and achievement. (3.5.2)
  7. Know how to plan activities within a lesson to create ‘flow’ states as well as use language  to keep students motivated, engaged and enjoying the learning process. (3.2.2)
  8. Know how to use peripheral praise to establish positive interactions and support all students in classroom activities. (4.1.2)
  9. Know how to use ‘teachers and students values’ to structure a lesson and engage all students and promote learning. (3.2.2)
  10. Knowledge about how children and adults learn best through an understanding of the NLP communication model. (1.1.2)

Having worked at senior level for many years he aware of the challenges that teachers face in evolving their practice with the needs of their students.
Matt delivers professional development training to groups and schools. He incorporates Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques into his programs, is a NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer and qualified teacher. His passion for education has seen him work in schools as an educational coach.
